We’re absolutely thrilled to share some great news: we’ve received confirmation that the sea trial will go ahead on Wednesday the 18th of February, weather permitting. Preparations are now fully underway to make sure everything runs smoothly so that—fingers crossed—we can officially accept the yacht afterwards.

Over the years, Ilse and I have become pretty skilled at communicating with hand signals when anchoring. But given the size of the yacht we’re buying, it felt like the right moment to take our communication on deck to a more professional level.

So this Valentine’s Day, we treated ourselves to our very first official purchase for the yacht: a set of marriage savers. A practical, symbolic, and slightly romantic gift to celebrate that we finally have a confirmed date for our sea trial.

A small step… but a very meaningful one on our journey to becoming yacht owners.
